Kart: Republic claims both the OK and Junior European titles in Kristianstad
Reportagem: Kart Republic

The KR-IAME teams travelled to Sweden to contest the two FIA Karting European Championship titles in the OK and OK-Junior classes. Mission accomplished with a one-two finish in OK thanks to Noah Baglin and Zac Drummond, as well as a clean sweep of the top three places in OK-Junior with Will Green, Daniel Miron Lorente and Many Nuvolini. Well done to the KR Motorsport and Fusion Motorsport teams for these outstanding performances on the European stage.

OK: After the World, Europe!

The top-level titles keep coming for Noah Baglin and KR Motorsport. Having been crowned World Champion in 2025 at the wheel of his KR-IAME, the young driver is now European Champion following a brilliant campaign: three podium finishes, including two victories, across four rounds. His closest rival in this Championship was none other than another KR-IAME, driven by Zac Drummond (Fusion Motorsport). At Kristianstad, the two British drivers scored enough points to top the final standings despite formidable competition, with the new Champion finishing 95 points clear after taking 2nd place on the podium in Sweden!

Well done to Dan Allemann (VDK Racing) for his pole position, as well as to Gustavo Marques Da Silva (VictoryLane), Bruno Blanco (KR Motorsport) and Zac Green (Jamie Green Racing) for finishing in the top 10.

OK-Junior: Championship hat-trick and Team Championship

Pole position for Daniel Miron Lorente (Fusion Motorsport), numerous victories in the Qualifying Heats, no fewer than nine fastest laps in the races, victory in the Super Heat for Priam Bruno (VictoryLane), 3rd place for Zack Zhu (VictoryLane) and, ultimately, the top three places in the European Championship. The KR-IAME entries proved to be particularly competitive in Sweden.

Will Green (KR Motorsport), who set the second-fastest lap in the Final, was crowned 2026 FIA Karting European Champion ahead of Miron Lorente and Many Nuvolini (KR Motorsport). The Final was far from being the most exciting of the season from a sporting perspective, but it also saw Mason Robertson (KR Motorsport) finish 5th and Ava Jean Lawrence (DPK Racing) climb to 7th after gaining 14 places. Even before the World Championship, KR Motorsport has also secured another title in the FIA Karting Team Championship.

Comment from Dino Chiesa, head of KR Global Motorsport Company

"Looking at the European Championship as a whole, it is clear that Kart Republic can draw an extremely positive conclusion with a one-two in OK and a one-two-three in OK-Junior. The KR-IAME team has retained its 2025 title in both the drivers' and teams' standings in the junior categories, whilst also reclaiming the crown in OK. We arrived in Kristianstad with a lead built up over the first three rounds and, naturally, we didn't take every risk to win in Sweden. The main objective was to be crowned champions in both categories, and we achieved our goal."

"The credit goes, of course, to the drivers, but also to the entire team for their extraordinary work, with a special mention to Flavio, Glenn and Tom. Few people realise how many hours have been spent to reach this level of performance and exacting standards. Our results are the fruit of relentless dedication, combined with our expertise. Kart Republic is a young manufacturer that made its debut in FIA Karting in 2018 and, since then, we have won eight World Championships and have just taken our tally of European Championships to 14!"

About KR Global Motorsport Company

At the end of the 2017 season Dino Chiesa officially presented the new Kart Republic entity and its characteristic logo. The yellow, orange and red colours reflect the colours of the Serenissima Republic which, from 697 to 1797, marked the history of the Padua region, home of the KR brand. The wing refers to those of the lion of St. Mark, the symbol of Venice, the capital of the Venetian Republic.

On 1st January, the KR chassis received CIK-FIA homologation. The success was immediate! In the very first season, the German Hannes Janker became European OK Champion in 2018. A few weeks later, the Italian Lorenzo Travisanutto (KR-IAME) became FIA Karting World Champion. The KR chassis quickly became a reference in the most important international events, as well as in many countries around the world. The successes in FIA Karting followed one another. At the 2022 World Championship in Campillos, less than four years after its launch, KR was the most represented brand in the paddock.

Over the years, the Kart Republic factory has continued to develop, launching the Alonso Kart brand in 2020 and relaunching the famous DAP name in early 2023. The various activities of the Italian company are now grouped under the "KR Global Motorsport Company". The head of the company, Dino Chiesa, is one of the most influential figures in the world of karting. The Italian engineer is also one of the best talent scouts in the world of karting. He has helped the rise of drivers such as Nico Rosberg, Lewis Hamilton and Nyck De Vries. Many Formula 1 team academies trust him, including those of Mercedes, Red Bull, Alpine and Sauber. The famous Prema Racing team has just announced its entry to the world of karting, in partnership with Kart Republic.
