A 1221-metre circuit with 14 turns hosted a week of 30 qualifying heats that highlighted some names who have developed considerably since the initial event in La Conca, as well as the series' ability to shine a spotlight on the next cohort of champions.

Miron takes it all

In the Junior category, the qualifying heats were nothing but explosive and highlighted 9 different winners, including names like Daniel Miron, Zack Zhu, Teo Pelfrene, Antonio Pizzonia, and Martin Bertolaccini, with, of course, Leonardo Gorski being the most successful of them all. Throughout the races there were also some steady results for two title protagonists, Priam Bruno and Will Green, who went under the radar until the later races. Neither managed a qualifying heat win, but both added points to their standings tallies.

Throughout the qualifying heats it would be noted that the strength of many different teams was evident, with the top ten drivers before the superheats belonging to seven different teams.

Leonardo Gorski, despite being handed a 5-second time penalty for causing a collision in his penultimate heat, would still claim pole for the first superheat, but suffer a DNF after a mechanical issue on the start-finish straight. This would allow Matvei Dergunov the opportunity to shine, claiming his first superheat win of the year on his best weekend in the series to date. For the second of the two superheats, Zack Zhu would go off pole, taking the win but just fractions ahead of Martin Bertolaccini.

A first pole at this level in a final for Zack Zhu would cause all eyes in the crowd to be on him, but maybe it was a bit too much for the driver of Victory Lane, as his final result, a P12, wouldn't do justice to the pace he had displayed all week long. In a final that was not too different from Mülsen in the busyness that unfolded, the laps in the early stages would see different leaders. Bertolaccini, Zhu and Pizzonia all had a go, but Miron would be given the opportunity to drive off, and didn't he use it. A gap that extended at one stage to 1.1 seconds was consistently whittled down by Ward's Antonio Pizzonia, who was hunting for Ward Racing's first final win of the year. Pizzonia got spectacularly close on the final lap, as did standings leader Priam Bruno, but in the end, after sprinting to the line, Daniel Miron would finally take a final win, cementing himself as the fourth different final winner in the Junior category for 2026.

Baglin's slow rise

Early-stage stars for the OK class would include Oliveri Sini, who poled it in his group on his first weekend within the senior category, and Emil Hernandez, who would take his first pole at this level of karting, but it would especially highlight what Benjamin Manach had packed with him when journeying to Sweden. For Manach, outright pace would see him not just pole it overall, but also become the fastest driver to ever complete a lap in an OK at Kristianstad. Manach's consistency through the week would see him claim three heat wins and two P2s. Within the senior races, they would further the unpredictability that the Juniors had set, with over ten different heat winners. Throughout the drama, Arias, Allemann and Calleja would suffer DNFs, as would Baglin, however, it would not put him off.

Superheat pole-sitters would include Manach and Domain, with Manach converting the pole into a win, but Domain not managing to replicate this, and Baglin taking the second. Filippo Sala showed some Ferrari Junior Academy strength also throughout the superheats on his best weekend of the year yet, managing to qualify P3 overall ahead of the finals.

Within the finals, this would be the stage for Baglin to show the pace he had in reserve. Despite battling various setbacks throughout the week, Noah would finally get back to the position we have seen him reach twice already this year in a final, the top. Baglin would be patient and would pick off position from Manach and Domain, then drive away corner by corner and tenth by tenth for the rest of the race, ending up 2.6 seconds clear of the rest. Other names to impress include Williams Junior driver Dean Hoogendoorn, who made up 21 places to get into P2, only to lose all the work done immediately after the race due to a nosecone penalty. As always, though, one driver's misfortune is another driver's treasure, allowing Zac Drummond to claim P2, and Henry Domain P3, a result well received by both Domain and the MP Motorsport camp.

For the senior field, the points changes throughout the weekend cement a new standings leader, Noah Baglin, meaning the fifth and final event on the calendar will be a fight to the very last chequered flag.
