Kart: new circuit / new victory for KR
Reportagem: Kart Republic

This was the first time the Champions of the Future Euro Series had visited Mülsen's Arena E, and the KR Motorsport team emerged triumphant from this eagerly anticipated OK class clash thanks to Noah Baglin. His team-mate James Anagnostiadis joined him on the podium, as well as taking the lead in the series. A penalty cost Daniel Miron Lorente (Fusion Motorsport) the victory in OK-Junior, nevertheless another driver in a KR-IAME leads the overall standings in the Euro Series: Priam Bruno (VictoryLane).

OK: Fourth consecutive victory for Noah Baglin

Having already won in this series at Valencia in Spain, Noah Baglin (KR Motorsport) did it again at Mülsen, bringing his tally to four wins in less than two months, having also won the first two rounds of the FIA Karting European Championship. In the leading group throughout the race, Baglin put in a superb performance to win the Final with the fastest lap of the race.

Winner of four heats and leader of the provisional standings after the Super Heats, James Anagnostiadis (KR Motorsport) secured 3rd place following a series of thrilling battles. The Australian is the new series leader ahead of Baglin and Zac Drummond (Fusion Motorsport), who scored vital points by finishing 4th. The Koski Motorsport team put in a strong performance with Michael McGaughy (P3 in Qualifying and P4 in the Super Heat) and Marco Garst, 8th in the Final (+10).

Priam Bruno retains the lead in OK-Junior

Daniel Miron Lorente (Fusion Motorsport) was clearly the most competitive driver in Germany. He secured pole position, remained in the lead after the Qualifying Heats (three wins, two 2nd places) and won the Super Heat. In the Final, he was unfortunately penalised with a five-second time penalty for accelerating too early after a slow-down procedure, despite crossing the finish line first. Will Green (KR Motorsport) was unable to capitalise on this due to a collision that forced him off the track. He was, however, able to continue and finished 4th.

As for Antoine-Sylva Venant, who was 3rd at the chequered flag, a spoiler penalty also saw him drop down the order. Zack Zhu (VictoryLane), Alexandre Point (Fusion Motorsport), Alessandro Truchot (KR Motorsport) and Niccolo Perico (KR Motorsport), who finished 10th in the Final, were among the standout drivers at Mülsen. KR chassis and IAME engines are in the top two spots in the overall standings with Priam Bruno and Will Green.

Comment from Glenn Keyaert, KR Global Motorsport Company

"KR Motorsport, along with the teams using the KR-IAME packages, carried out significant development work to adapt as best as possible to the demanding Mülsen circuit, which most of our drivers were experiencing for the first time in an official competition. We stuck to our game plan and can be satisfied with the result achieved, particularly in OK. Noah Baglin managed to navigate the pitfalls and checkpoints to secure a magnificent victory, whilst James Anagnostiadis put in a solid performance in Germany. In OK-Junior, two KR-IAME power units started the final lap in the top two positions, but the outcome did not go our way. We hope there will be fewer incidents at the FIA Karting European Championship."

About KR Global Motorsport Company

At the end of the 2017 season Dino Chiesa officially presented the new Kart Republic entity and its characteristic logo. The yellow, orange and red colours reflect the colours of the Serenissima Republic which, from 697 to 1797, marked the history of the Padua region, home of the KR brand. The wing refers to those of the lion of St. Mark, the symbol of Venice, the capital of the Venetian Republic.

On 1st January, the KR chassis received CIK-FIA homologation. The success was immediate! In the very first season, the German Hannes Janker became European OK Champion in 2018. A few weeks later, the Italian Lorenzo Travisanutto (KR-IAME) became FIA Karting World Champion. The KR chassis quickly became a reference in the most important international events, as well as in many countries around the world. The successes in FIA Karting followed one another. At the 2022 World Championship in Campillos, less than four years after its launch, KR was the most represented brand in the paddock.

Over the years, the Kart Republic factory has continued to develop, launching the Alonso Kart brand in 2020 and relaunching the famous DAP name in early 2023. The various activities of the Italian company are now grouped under the "KR Global Motorsport Company". The head of the company, Dino Chiesa, is one of the most influential figures in the world of karting. The Italian engineer is also one of the best talent scouts in the world of karting. He has helped the rise of drivers such as Nico Rosberg, Lewis Hamilton and Nyck De Vries. Many Formula 1 team academies trust him, including those of Mercedes, Red Bull, Alpine and Sauber. The famous Prema Racing team has just announced its entry to the world of karting, in partnership with Kart Republic.
