The final round of the 2025 WSK Final Cup took place in Lonato in bitterly cold conditions, with temperatures hovering below six degrees and Friday's Qualifying sessions disrupted by a wet track. Despite these hostile conditions, Birelart once again delivered in all categories. Cristian Bertuca ended his season on a high note with another victory in KZ2, securing the overall title.

KZ2: Bertuca imperial, Birelart dominant

Birelart once again demonstrated its superiority in the gearbox category. Starting from pole position, Cristian Bertuca controlled the race perfectly, even after a neutralisation at the start. The restart, negotiated with the confidence of a driver in complete control, was decisive.

A collision involving several competitors, including Daniel Vasile (CL Racing), clarified the leading group. By the halfway point, Bertuca had already opened up a significant gap and won by almost three seconds, confirming his clear dominance.

With this victory in Lonato, he officially sealed the 2025 WSK Final Cup title, which he had already mathematically secured after his success in Saturday's Prefiinal. Daniel Vasile ended his season with a solid 3rd place in the championship.

OK: Ivannikov in the top 10, Mazzola unlucky

Birelart Racing placed two drivers in the Final in the premier direct drive class. Vladimir Ivannikov put in a solid performance with a top 10 finish in unforgiving conditions.

Ludovico Mazzola, newly promoted from OK-Junior, managed to reach the final after a difficult Prefiinal. However, he had to retire after a collision, finishing 33rd.

Mini Gr.3: Muijs confirms his form, Gugo on the pace

The Mini categories suffered particularly from the lack of temperature, making it extremely difficult to get the tyres up to speed. Despite this, both Birelart Racing representatives reached the Final.

Cees Muijs once again confirmed his status as a top driver with another top 10 finish, while Vladimir Gugo completed the race in the middle of the pack after a hard-fought final.

- 10th: Cees Muijs
- 27th: Vladimir Gugo

Mini U10: Shitov solid in difficult conditions

For the youngest drivers, the conditions were among the toughest of the weekend. However, David Shitov put in a consistent performance and finished his Final in a very respectable 12th place.

Riccardo Longhi - KZ2 Team Manager:

"Cristian's victory is all the more remarkable because it was achieved in extreme conditions and under the pressure of the title. He had already secured the championship after the Prefiinal, but finishing the season with such mastery speaks volumes about the competitiveness of our chassis-engine package and the work of the whole team. Vasile was unlucky, but his speed confirms our overall standard. I would also like to congratulate him on his very fine 3rd place in the 2025 Championship. As for Graham, he is improving with every race."

Jordon Lennox - Direct Drive Team Manager:

"The weekend was particularly difficult for the other categories. With such low temperatures, tyre management becomes a real headache. Despite this, Ivannikov finished in the top 10, and Mazzola reached the Final in only his second OK meeting. Our OKJ and Mini drivers also showed great fighting spirit. Their progress is clear, and weekends like this shape the future."

With the WSK Final Cup now over, Birelart Racing will turn its attention to winter testing to prepare for the 2026 season in the best possible conditions.
