Parolin Motorsport and satellite team drivers finished on the podium in all categories at the last round of the Champions of the Future Shifter series at Franciacorta, just a week before the vital World Championship meeting at the same northern Italian circuit. The weather was fine all weekend but with a definite autumnal chill in the air.

KZ driver Lorenzo Travisanutto started the weekend with 13th in Qualifying, improving after the heats then taking 8th in the Super Heat to give him 7th on the grid for the Final. He drove a strong, consistent race and finished 3rd, avoiding the contact and penalties that held back his rivals.

Matteo Viganò was as fast as usual but was involved in a crash at the start of the Final. Alessio Piccini (Modena Kart) made progress in the heats after qualifying 18th but a crash early on in the Super Heat made his job harder in the Final. However he battled through to 10th, up six places.

In KZ2 Kimi Tani (LA Motorsport) was a brilliant 2nd in the Final after consistent high performance all weekend. He had qualified fastest in his session then took five top three positions in his heats, including a win. He had crossed the line first in his Super Heat before being hit with a spoiler penalty.

Ultra-rapid Riccardo Nalon (Erre Esse Motorsport) finished 3rd with the fastest lap of the race in the KZ2 Master category after qualifying on top of his group and finishing in the top three in all three heats and his Super Heat. Daniel Bray (Modena Kart) just missed out on the podium, only two tenths behind Nalon.

Marco Parolin's analysis

"The COTF in Franciacorta was a useful occasion to fine tune our package before the most important race for shifter karts. The feeling with the LeCont tyres seemed positive, in fact our Invader chassis was competitive across the three classes. Congratulations to the three drivers who managed to step on the podium, Travisanutto, Tani with LA Motorsport, and Nalon with ErreEsse Motorsport."

The Parolin team are now focusing on the World event this coming weekend - aiming to add more titles to the 2025 tally in the KZ World Championship, the KZ2 World Cup and the KZ2 Master International Super Cup.
