At the Franciacorta circuit, which hosted the fifth and final round of the ACI Sport Italian Karting Championship, Gioele Girardello triumphed brilliantly in the Final. The Italian was crowned OK-N Junior champion with his Modena Kart colours and his Parolin-TM Kart. Ranked 4th, Switzerland's Albert Tamm completed the team's group finish. Modena Kart is the only team to have placed at least one driver on the podium in each of the four rounds in this category.

70 drivers entered in OK-N Junior and pole position for Girardello

In Castrezzato, the event got off to the best possible start for the Modena Kart team, which placed three drivers in the top six. Extremely competitive, Gioele Girardello completed a perfect lap and set the fastest time of 48.933 (the absolute record for the weekend), while Albert Tamm took P5 just ahead of his Lithuanian teammate Nojus Stasionis. The Italian team's Parolin-TM Kart equipment proved equally competitive in the Qualifying Heats. Girardello remained in the lead with four wins out of four, while Tamm and Stasionis finished all their heats in the top five.

Gioele Girardello imperial in the Final

After winning Prefinal A in style, Girardello started the Final from pole position and crossed the finish line victorious after 15 laps at the wheel of a particularly efficient and consistent kart. On the track, Nojus Stasionis even secured a one-two finish for the Modena Kart team, but the Lithuanian was penalised and dropped back to P6. As for Albert Tamm, he unfortunately had a racing incident in his Prefinal, which dropped him to P11 on the starting grid for the Final. He had climbed back up to P6 with the fastest lap, before dropping back to P13 due to a badly-positioned front fairing, which resulted in a five-second penalty. It was unfortunate, as Tamm had the chance to finish as Italian vice-champion! The Swiss driver finished P4 overall with three podiums, including two victories, and Stasionis P8. Congratulations to American Grayson Walcott for qualifying for the Final in this difficult category and to all the drivers who raced under the Modena Kart colours in the 2025 Italian Championship.

Analysis by Gabriele Finocchi, Modena Kart team principal

"I am proud of the whole team and what we have achieved throughout the Championship. At every event, we performed well and at least one of our drivers finished on the podium. The excellent collaboration with Parolin Motorsport confirms that we made the right choices and allows us to benefit from high-quality equipment. The TM Kart brand, the engine builders, the data acquisition specialists and all our technical staff rose to the challenge and lived up to our ambitions. Congratulations to Gioele Girardello, and to all our drivers who fought hard in the various categories at Franciacorta. It was a very difficult event, with a large number of entrants."

Comment from Alessandro Palloni, Modena Kart team manager

"This Italian Championship title won by Gioele Girardello is a tribute to all the work and effort put in by the team. Technically and competitively, we made the right choices to enable him to dominate the event. We came to Franciacorta to win the OK-N Junior title and I am happy with the final result. Albert Tamm and Nojus Stasionis were just as competitive and also had the ability to finish on the podium, but incidents during the race decided otherwise. We still have other challenges to face between now and the end of the season and we will do everything we can with the determination that drives us."
