Kart: an undisputed international benchmark
Reportagem: LeCont Srl

With the 2024 WSK Super Master Series having just come to a close on the Naples International Circuit in Sarno, the promoter of this successful series can draw a particularly positive balance sheet, and the same is certainly true for the manufacturer LeCont, partner of this major sporting event. Equipped with LeCont 'prime' tyres, the OK category saw intense duels and the Italian brand made an active contribution to the show during the Final at Sarno and more generally during the four events, whatever the grip conditions on the tarmac.

Homologated by the CIK-FIA on 1st January 2024, the new LeCont 'slicks' and 'rain' tyres have already established their credentials, confirming the manufacturer's ability to supply high-tech, highly effective tyres. They met the expectations of the drivers and teams at the highest international level: first in the cold of Lonato at the end of January, then in the rain and on a dry track at Cremona, in more pleasant temperatures at Franciacorta and finally at Sarno, where the changing conditions made the competitors' task even more difficult.

Once again, the 54-second barrier was broken during the meeting: well done to Salim Hanna for his time of 53"970 on Thursday morning. At LeCont, performance comes with consistency, giving the teams the opportunity to work in excellent conditions to develop their equipment and find the best settings. What's more, the grip offered by the LeCont LPM 'primes' is very instructive, both for drivers who wish to move up to the KZ categories in the future and for those who want to move up to single-seater racing. Year after year, OK and KZ drivers enjoy using prime tyres!

Initial feedback on the LOH 'option' version is also very positive in the many countries that use it. As for the new LWR 'rain' tyre, it has made significant progress compared with its predecessor. LeCont remains very committed to providing drivers with a product that is pleasant to use, so that enjoyment is guaranteed.

In sporting terms, LeCont congratulates the three winners of the WSK Super Master Series events: Oleksandr Bondarev in Lonato, Dmitry Matveev in Franciacorta and Ean Eyckmans, winner in Cremona and Sarno. The overall victory went to the Belgian driver Eyckmans who won ahead of Ukrainian Bondarev and Italian Sebastiano Pavan. Three different chassis and engine manufacturers took the honours. All in all, congratulations to all the drivers in the OK category for their achievements at the WSK Super Master Series 2024.
