Organised over two events, the WSK Euro Series saw Bogdan Cosma-Cristofor truly dominate, with the young Romanian hopeful winning twice with skill and mastery. Winner on a dry track in the sunshine of Franciacorta in northern Italy in September, he triumphed two months later, this time in rainy conditions at Sarno near Naples. It was only logical that he should win another Mini category title.

The WSK Euro Series was clearly one of Bogdan Cosma-Cristofor's objectives. The WSK Promotion series is one of the toughest events of the international season in the Mini category, and the 12-year-old Romanian always tackles these events with great determination, whatever the conditions and difficulties.

Capricious weather

It was sunny and warm in Franciacorta when Bogdan Cosma-Cristofor topped the podium for his WSK Euro Series debut. Nine weeks later, it wasn't quite the same climate that awaited the Mini category drivers in the Naples region. During the three days of racing, rain was a frequent visitor at the foot of the famous Vesuvius volcano. But a driver needs to be able to adapt to all situations, and Bogdan was determined to prove that he was capable of winning with both slick and rain tyres.

A brilliant return to the front row

Unsatisfied with his 16th fastest time in the Qualifying session, Bogdan made some magnificent comebacks in the Qualifying Heats. Twice, he managed to gain 10 places and qualified 4th for the Prefinal, which he eventually won after a series of incessant duels. He was back on the outside front row of the grid for the Final.

A totally controlled Final

Bogdan Cosma-Cristofor was perfectly at ease with his KR-IAME equipment from Team Driver Racing Kart and was very incisive from the start of the Final, pulling off a superb overtaking manoeuvre to take the lead. From then on, he set a very high pace ahead of the field, widening the gap with every lap thanks to his perfect, faultless driving.

WSK Euro Series Champion 2023

Bogdan won the Final by a large margin and confirmed his victory in Franciacorta in fine style, once again sending the Romanian anthem ringing from the top of the podium. After the WSK Open Series title, he is now crowned champion of the prestigious WSK Euro Series with a total of 219 points compared to 129 for his closest rival. Bogdan Cosma-Cristofor has once again emerged as the best in the Mini category this season, and the young Romanian knows that he also owes his success to his supporters, his technical staff and his partners.
