Competing in the fourth and final round of the FIA Karting European Championship in Rødby, Denmark, the Birelart Racing team battled determinedly against changeable weather conditions and a tricky seaside track to achieve solid results in the Finals, both in OK and OK-Junior.

In the OK category, Vladimir Ivannikov and Vilmer Svahn both made an excellent start. The Russian finished 8th in qualifying, while the Swede set the 4th fastest time in his group, allowing Birelart Racing to field two drivers in the top 10 of the overall standings out of the 85 entrants. Ivannikov then secured a brilliant victory in heat B-D, while Svahn remained consistent to secure his place in the Final.

Noah Wolfe (VAR by Birel), 11th in his group in qualifying, had a more difficult race, notably marked by a retirement in one of the heats. Nevertheless, he secured his place in the Final thanks to a solid Super Heat finish in the top 10.

Shortly before the start of the Final, several showers caused a real strategic headache on the pre-grid. Ivannikov and Wolfe opted for slick tyres as the track was drying out. Unfortunately, the rain returned after a few laps. Wolfe was forced to retire but was still classified 15th. Ivannikov had to retire prematurely. Austin Gale finished 16th, just ahead of Svahn in 17th, at the end of a race made difficult by the conditions. Toby Gale, although competitive in the heats, narrowly missed out on qualifying for the Final.

In OK-Junior, Ludovico Mazzola carried the Birelart Racing colours through to the Final. Qualifying only 80th, he climbed up the rankings to 51st at the end of the heats, then secured his ticket to the Final with an impressive 9th place in the Super Heat. Starting at the back of the grid on a drying track, he climbed up to 21st position, putting in a fine performance.

Jordon Lennox, Team Manager

"This weekend tested every aspect of our team - from strategy to driver resilience. Vladimir's victory in the heats, Noah's comeback to the Final and Ludovico's progress in OK-Junior illustrate the fighting spirit of our line-up. We will approach the next event with confidence."

The Birelart Racing team is now looking ahead to the FIA Karting World Championship in Kristianstad, Sweden, scheduled for the second weekend of September, with the ambition of building on this positive momentum with top results.
