The vdS Panis Racing team is pleased to announce the arrival of Franck Perera in its line-up for the upcoming edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, which will take place on 14 and 15 June 2025. The French driver will share the wheel of the #48 ORECA 07 entered in LMP2, alongside Oliver Gray and Esteban Masson, two young rising talents who recently stood out in the ELMS by securing a superb second place at the 4 Hours of Barcelona.

With this trio, vdS Panis Racing is banking on a subtle balance between experience and youth to compete in the LMP2 category within an extremely competitive field.

This new line-up for the Le Mans race follows Charles Milesi's commitment with Alpine in the Hypercar category.

An experienced pillar aiming high.

At 40 years old, Franck Perera boasts a career that is as rich as it is eclectic, spanning single-seaters, endurance racing, and GT. Trained in single-seaters at the highest level – notably competing in the Formula 3 Euro Series, GP2, and IndyCar – he has, in recent years, established himself as a reference in GT3 and endurance championships.

A Lamborghini factory driver since 2018, he discovered Le Mans last year in the GT category. His versatility, consistency, and in-depth knowledge of the race make him a strategic addition to aim high at Le Mans.

Franck Perera: 'The words that come to mind are joy, pride, gratitude and determination in the face of this unique opportunity to join the #48 car of vdS Panis Racing for the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans. After having the chance to experience this legendary race in GT with Lamborghini last year, I am ready to take on the challenge in LMP2, where the level is extremely high. I can't wait to begin this Le Mans adventure alongside my talented young teammates Esteban and Oliver. A huge thank you to the entire vdS Panis Racing team and TDS Racing for their trust.'

Franck Perera joins an ambitious new generation: Esteban Masson and Oliver Gray.

Oliver Gray, a young British Silver-ranked hopeful from FIA Formula 3, continues to prove himself in LMP2 thanks to his consistent progress. Alongside him, Esteban Masson, French F4 Champion in 2021, made a strong impression in LMGT3 last season and has just joined Toyota's TGR Driver Challenge single-seater programme in Japan. Both drivers embody a new generation of talented, fast competitors, determined to shine on the international stage.

Olivier Panis:

'We are very proud to be able to field such a complete line-up. Franck brings valuable experience, while Esteban and Oliver are driven by the desire to prove their worth. This balanced and complementary trio inspires total confidence in their ability to perform throughout the entire 24 hours of Le Mans.

With the support of my friend and partner Marc vdS, and the expertise of TDS Racing, we are putting all the elements in place to combine and guarantee sporting and technical excellence in order to win this upcoming edition of Le Mans.'

Xavier Combet – Team Principal / TDS Racing:

'We are delighted to announce Franck's return to our ranks for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Our collaboration in 2015, crowned by a title in ELMS GTC, remains one of the most memorable moments in our team's history. We have full confidence in his professionalism, experience, and level of performance. His consistency at the highest level and his results across various championships speak volumes about his immense value as a driver.

It is with great pride that we will reunite all our 'Félins' drivers on the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe. The entire team is fully mobilised to take on this prestigious challenge. We are doing everything possible to provide the best possible conditions and aim for a result worthy of our ambitions.'

A clear and determined ambition for Le Mans.

Competing in LMP2, vdS Panis Racing is aiming for a top-level result in this 93rd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. With several solid participations since 2016, the French outfit, led by Olivier Panis and now with the operational support of TDS Racing, is more ambitious than ever: to fight for victory in its category.
